A Bit of Background
The Think Local Columbus committee was founded by a group of passionate individuals, backed by the Chamber, on a mission to inspire our community to always Think Local. With more than 8600 community members employed by dining and retail alone, we recognized the importance of keeping our dollars local. More than just a focus on the local economy, we wanted to be sure to arm our small businesses with the tools and resources they need to be successful. We are proud to have offered a diverse assortment of classes, with many more on the way. These classes touch on topics such as planning, digital marketing, customer service, hiring local help, and much, much more.
Now don’t get us wrong, we still love our local big box stores, food chains, and franchises because they are employing Columbus residents. When we spend our dollars within these stores, as opposed to large online retailers, we are helping keep members of our community employed.
As hard as we try, we can’t do it alone. This is where we need your help in Thinking Local and always asking yourself if the good or service you need can be found in Columbus. If you aren’t sure, send us a message! We’re always happy to recommend the right local business for you.
Thank you for you commitment to Think Local Columbus and your support for our beautiful community!
